Exploring the Rim Country

This weekend we headed up to Payson again and camped at the Houston Mesa campground just north of town. On Saturday we headed east on 260 to the Apache Sitgreaves National forest. Along the way there we saw Black Lake, visited some settler grave sites, hiked to some indian ruins, and even saw a group of deer. Once we rejoined highway 260 near Heber, we headed west before exiting on FR 518 to travel towards Chevlon Crossing.
